Here’s a good signup tutorial to the Taiwan server made by scater1230000. I play on the HK and Taiwan servers every once in a while. If you live far away you might have some lag so it’s not for everyone. Anyhow not to discourage anyone from playing console games, but why keep playing eye candy games and gimped real robot sized games with crappy gameplay when you can get owned or pwn on SDGO.

You need to use a gmail address. Others probably won’t work and I believe the confirmation needs to be done within 30 minutes of signup.
